The guide's NPC locations currently come from Classic data. With the ForeverScout addon you record what WoW Forever actually looks like while you play – once two players have seen the same thing, it is marked as confirmed here on the site.
How it works
- Install the addon (or the Windows client, which installs and updates the addon for you).
- Play as usual. When you talk to an NPC, trainer or vendor, the addon records where it stands and what it offers.
- Upload the ForeverScout.lua file below – or let the client do it when you close the game.
- Once at least two players have reported the same NPC in the same place (within 2 map-%), it is marked Confirmed in Forever on the site and you earn points.
Points
- 10 pts – first to report something that is later confirmed
- 3 pts – you confirm something someone else reported
- 1 pt – a new trainer ability or vendor item that gets confirmed
- Duplicates give 0 pts, and only confirmed data earns points.

The addon works on its own. The Windows client is optional and uploads automatically after you close the game.
